vopca was founded to:

  • provide strong agricultural business and marketing leadership for the Virginia organic farming community and flexible, responsive support;
     
  • preserve small-scale agriculture, open space, promote land conservation, and consumer health issues through sustainable and natural farming practices;
     
  • set policy agenda for statewide government and private-sector partners;
     
  • provide Virginia consumers with ready information on organic farming practice, and serve as a resource guide for organic and natural farm produce and other products.

     


We support Virginia's farming tradition

Organic and sustainable farm management is better for the land, the animals and people.  Eating locally produced food helps our fellow farmers here in Virginia.
